Canada Day at Canada Place, presented by Port Metro Vancouver, is the largest Canada Day celebration outside the nation’s capital.
On July 1, downtown Vancouver is the place to be as there will be 13 hours of FREE family fun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone will enjoy a wide variety of live performances, breathtaking exhibits and interactive displays at the Waterfront Party.

Go Canada! Sports Zone – What better place than to be active and have fun? Test your skills with soccer drills, watch a game of wheelchair basketball or join the jump rope competition.
Salty’s Market – Port Metro Vancouver welcomes you to peruse the 50+ Portobello West vendors and artisans selling locally made goods or imported items, featuring stories of people in our communities and their connection to the Port. Learn about the importance of trade, how the Port operates day to day, meet Salty and more!
The West Coast Lumberjack Show – Sit back and enjoy an exhilarating showcase of fearless skills and daredevils displays. Watch the lumberjacks partake in chainsaw carving and Jack n’ Jill double buck. View the full schedule.
Celebration Stage – the stage for all things Canadian! The day kicks off with the great Sweet Soul Gospel Choir, followed by the popular citizenship ceremony where we will welcome 60 new citizens to our Canadian family. Canadian Forces Zone – You will see the incredible displays and exhibits that honour our country’s army, navy and air forces. The Forces will also be in the sky! At noon, look upwards for an exclusive Canada Day flypast.
Maple Lodge Farms Community Stage at North Point – With the stunning North Shore mountains in the background, Canada Day at Canada Place begins with a large outdoor yoga class and then transitions into the perfect area to enjoy great family friendly entertainment. Canada Place Way – Stroll down Canada Place Way to engage with a variety of onsite exhibitors. Sample goods, play a game of street hockey brought to you by Nature’s Path Organic Foods, and enjoy a plethora of food options – from festival favourites to trendy food carts, there is something for everyone.
Subway’s Picnic Plaza – Relax, sit down at the picnic tables and take in the beautiful sights as we celebrate the anniversary of our great country – O’Canada! For those looking for some more action, test your fitness level at Subway’s onsite Commit to Fit challenge.
Canada Day Parade
Once the daytime celebrations have come to a close, make your way to Georgia Street to enjoy ever popular Canada Day Parade, at 7 p.m.
Starting point: West Georgia and Broughton Streets

The 6th Annual Canada Day Parade starts at the corner of Georgia and Broughton Streets. This free community event features more than 50 dynamic entries and recognizes diversity, multiculturalism and the special bond that connects all Canadians.
Cap your evening off with a bang and enjoy the Coast Capital Savings Canada Day Fireworks Show at Canada Place at 10:30 p.m.

Vancouver’s only 2-barge simultaneous pyrotechnic extravaganza. Watch as the sky lights up in celebration of our nation’s birthday, with barges located in Coal Harbour and Dundarave in North Shore, West Vancouver. Hudson’s Bay will start the show with a bang in green, red, yellow and blue and Coast Capital Savings, the fireworks presenting sponsor, closing the show with a fantastic finale in blue, all synced to a great Canadian soundtrack.
